    Excursion program:Sightseeing Tsarskoye Selo ( the Catherine Palace )Duration 6 hours -  brilliant monument of world architecture and landscape art XVIII - early XX century, the most in the last residence of the Russian monarchs. A magnificent group of architects, sculptors, painters embodied the desires of their royal clients. In Tsarskoye Selo in its entirety presents a variety of artistic styles of the Baroque (in buildings F. -B. Rastrelli ) and Classical ( in buildings by Charles Cameron , George  Quarenghi,, V. Stasov and others )
    Near the Catherine Palace, there is a memorial museum Lyceum. Lyceum was the preferred educational institution, founded in 1811 by Alexander I exclusively for children of the nobility. From the walls of the Lyceum left many state and public figures, writers and scholars, outstanding people of Russia: diplomat Alexander Gorchakov future chancellor, Admiral FyodorMatyushkin Decembrists Ivan Leo and William Kuchelbecker poet Anton Delvig. Among the first high school pupils was the future Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin who studied here from 1811 to 1817.
    Not far from the Alexander Palace is located country home another Pushkin Museum -  Kitaev contry  residence (home) . It is an authentic wooden house, saved time and fate, whose walls remember Pushkin.
    Museum Open: 10:00 to 17:00. The Catherine Palace is closed on Tuesdays and the last Monday of each month.

    ·         After a 22-mile drive through the suburbs of St. Petersburg reach Peterhoff, a former summer residence of the Russian tsars’ in the 18-th - 19-th centuries.

    ·         Explore Peterhoff designed to the request of Peter the Great to rival Versailles. 300-acre parks on the shore of the Finish Gulf, spectacular fountains, the Grand Palace, crowning the hill above the fountains and about 20 smaller Palaces and pavilions represent «Russian Versailles» now.

    ·         Enjoy picturesque Lower Gardens with three unique cascades, dozens of powerful water jets and miniature palaces - Monplaisir, Marly and Hermitage.

    ·         Take a deep breath looking at the centre of the composition, the Grand Palace and Grand Cascade, including staircases, waterfalls, an avenue of 64 fountains and 37 gilded statues.

    ·         Take a picture of the symbol of Peterhoff, «Samson killing a lion» fountain, an allegory of the crucial victory of Russians over the Swedish army at Poltava in 1709.
